I
am upgrading from version 3 to version 4. Do I have to re-install
the database? |
| |
No. If you are upgrading from a previous
version of GradeXpert, you only need to install the new program, NOT
the database. The database will be automatically upgraded when you
first run the new version. We recommend you uninstall the existing
version 3 of GradeXpert before installing version 4. |

How
do I reassign students to their new grades and classes at the beginning
of each year? |
| |
There are three methods of reassigning
students: 1. Import an updated student list containing
student ID, student name and their new grade and class - this will
automatically reassign all those students to their new classes. This
is the easiest and most accurate method. 2. Use
the Reassign Students function in GradeXpert to reassign all students
from one class, grade and year to a new class, grade and year.
3. Update each individual student's current grade,
class and year manually. (This is the long way around!) |

I
want some teachers only to be able to view certain results. Can
GradeXpert do this? |
| |
Yes, each assessment
can be assigned an access level. When you create a new user (i.e.
teacher) you assign an access level to that user. Only users with
the required access level can view results for those assessments.
You can also limit access to specific classes and specific assessment
groups. Use "Modify Settings - Users" to do this in GradeXpert. |
