GradeXpert was founded in 2004 with a goal of developing the most flexible and powerful student assessment tracking software system available, that met the demanding needs of our users in the education industry.

The very first version of GradeXpert was developed for a school that simply wanted an easy way of centrally tracking and reporting on student assessment results from year to year, instead of their existing
system, which used many different programs to store results.

That original program, simply called Grades, was developed in 1999 and was used at that school for over five years.
